How Much Is The Apartment In Germany

Buying houses and apartments in Germany, personal experience of a newspaper reader.ru

Недвижимость в Германии

We publish the continuation of the story of housing purchases in Germany. Previous " experience " : “We've got nothing wrong in Germany."- Red.

In Germany, one day, the kids are scattered in different rooms. Looking at our age, our children, the dynamics of market prices and many other things, we decided to go on our way. First, we thought we'd live on rented housing, like we used to, but quickly realized that the payment of credit would be equal or even cheaper than the cost of rent. In our case, we were trapped in the need to have at least four rooms.

Looking at the market, we ran into a dilemma, buying an apartment or a house. The apartment with this number of rooms on the market was astronomical.

Turns out it's almost the same as catching comets and waiting for one of them to fall into your garden and be from pure gold. The house was almost the only alternative.

We spent about a year looking at different options, looking at new developments, different plots, houses.

The interesting discovery for us was that Germany is still as difficult as in other parts of the world. Many lands, cities and various types of territorial communes provide land for families with children at preferential prices. We've studied about 20 of these options in our district, given the distance to work and other needs, kind of gardens and all that.

The opening was that most of these sites were distributed before the allocation of land for construction was approved - transfer from the non-resident to the housing unit. This process in Germany is a hell of a time-consuming process. The only option is to meet people from the local government.

Well, it's not corruption, but something else. The probability of taking money is almost zero, but... it's definitely gonna look at your job, your income, where and who you work, your connections and your possibilities. Because it's a source of tax revenues, acquaintances, an opportunity to involve you in different kinds of social programmes and initiatives.
